Brain development which takes place even before birth and till the age of three is the conclusion arrived at from all reasons. And during this while, brain development happens the fastest. Now you know why they are bothering you too much with too many questions. And this is why the Indian Government gave a huge impetus to Early Childhood Education and Care in its New Education Policy (NEP).

First eight years

The first 8 years of life is a foundation for their future in all aspects- cognitive development, FLN skill development, mental health, wellness, motor development, etc and hence good livelihood. This necessitates parents, teachers and schools to be responsible about being careful about their first 8 years. Ved Gruh Public School is very keen on their students’ brain development and provides quality care in a healthy and safe school environment, keeping it as their top priority. They believe that child care that encourages the student’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth must be provided.

Early childhood experiences

Early childhood experiences are very important for students’ brain development. Because their readiness to learn and the quest to know are there from the time they are born. Therefore, exposure to stress and trauma will pave the way to negative consequences and hinders the appropriate development of a child’s brain.  So, we ensure a healthy environment for kids to grow through talking, reading and playing. This will stimulate their brain growth.

Four cognitive stages of childhood development

A child’s age should be a primary criterion that should be considered before designing programmes for him/her to best meet their needs. Jean Piaget is a Swiss psychologist known for his work on child development. He identified four cognitive stages of childhood development according to age and they are:

• Sensor motor Stage – birth to about 2 years.

• Preoperational stage – ages 2-7

• Concentrate Operational Stage – ages 7-11

• Formal Operational Stage – ages 11 & older

Group Activities for Brain Development

Specialized teachers and school environment

Early childhood education through specialised teachers and school environments is indispensable for children. Because they help in their brain development. Basic literacy, FLN, cognitive development-oriented activities, workshops etc need to be provided in the apt method according to the age and grasping power of kids without stressing them. Such entertaining activities through careful analysis of imparting the developmental strategies are undertaken by Ved Gruh always.

The early years (0-8) are the golden time when children require care, skill training, education and opportunities to develop. Children’s brains need them to develop the connections that they need to be healthy, able, brilliant and successful adult humans. Ved Gruh is not just a school, it sees every child and the staff as a family and the utmost care and opportunities are provided. No child is left out.
